The technical employment arena continues
to offer increased employment flexibility. The percentage
of staff who are employed on a temporary or contract
basis has been steadily on the increase in recent years.
Many companies are now in the process of downsizing their
permanent staffing levels to a core number of vital employees,
and then utilising contract and temporary labour to provide
additional manpower when requirements peak.

payroll. We pay them regular salaries and handle
all the legalities and government regulations by strictly adhering
to statutory compliances.
BENEFITS OF CONTRACT MANPOWER:
The client enjoys a reduction in fixed costs/overheads.
Fixed costs within a project are reduced through the employment
of less permanent staff and its accompanying in-house overhead administrative
costs.
Flexible resourcing
Contract staff can be used for periods such as
three months to cover peak workloads or to contribute particular,
specialist skills. When the task is completed and specialist staffs
are no longer required, the contract can be simply terminated on
an agreed notice period. This notice period can be as little as
a week.
Fixed price work packages
This option allows strict budget control and time scale management
as well as being popular amongst contractors.
Minimal employment responsibilities
Employment responsibilities - such as, all liabilities
for taxation, social security, sickness pay, pension contributions,
work visas, insurance and maternity pay are passed onto the contracting
agency.
Experienced and flexible staff
Staff who work on contract tend to have more
hands-on experience, are willing to work long hours, are available
at short notice, will work in non hospitable conditions, and are often
more adept at "getting the job done". These attributes,
combined with the specialist knowledge, which the staff possess,
gives the client confidence with regards to effective task completion.
Reduced training cost
In many cases, contractors require no additional
training, as they are experienced in working with the system, software
or equipment utilised. |
